Ⅴ. REGULATIONS AND PROCEDURES

1) Rules

The Japan Golf Association (JGA) Rules of Golf 2010 and The LPGA of Japan Tournament Regulations and its Local Rules will govern all the qualifying tournaments.

2) Application for Entry

  1. 2010 QT Application form
  2. A copy of the bank remittance receipt for entry fee
  3. A copy of driver license or any document which name and date of birth can be proven
  4. A copy of passport

Note:

If you are foreign player and non LPGA member, you must fill in followings

  1. Player's name in Japanese and English. (also Chinese character name)
  2. Where to make contact in Japan. (Company name, person in charge name, a phone number)

3) Player name

If you are foreign player and non LPGA member, you must apply the qualifying tournament under your real name. After the registration for One-year TPD member you may change your name with your player name. However once you registered your player name, you cannot change the name for 5 years.

4) Application Terms and Deadlines

All applicants must apply on the designated Application From available at LPGA of Japan by the following deadlines(local time).

First Qualifying Tournament

Second Qualifying Tournament
A.(1) LPGA of Japan members (including players who obtained LPGA of Japan license 2010, not including Teaching Professional Class A) and LPGA One-year member who registered for Tournament Player's Division by August 31, 2010 (2) USLPGA members in positions 51st to 90th in 2009 USLPGA Official Money List by July 16, 2010 (3) KLPGA members in positions 1st to 10th in 2009 KLPGA Official Money List by July 16, 2010 (4) Proceeded players from the First Qualifying Tournament by September 10, 2010 B. Any golfers approved by LPGA of Japan other than above categories by July 23,2010
Third Qualifying Tournament
A.(1) Winners of 2010 Step-Up-Tour by October 29, 2010 (2) Players position within top 70th in according to 2010 Money list as of 2010 IDC Ootsuka Kagu Ladies by November 12, 2010 (3) USLPGA members in positions 21st to 50th in 2009 Official Money List by September 24, 2010 (4) LET Order-of-Merit in position 11th to 20th in 2009 by September 24, 2010 (5) Proceeded players from the Second Qualifying tournament by Novenber 12, 2010 B. Any golfers approved by LPGA of Japan other than above categories by September 24, 2010
Final Qualifying Tournament
A.(1) Players who lost LPGA of Japan exemption status in 2010 by November 24, 2010 (2) Players in positions top 5 following to 2011 exempt player in according to 2010 LPGA of Japan Money list by November 24, 2010 (3) LPGA member (Category A) who competed at Final Qualifying Tournament in 2009 and in positions 1st to 50th by November 24, 2010 (4) Winners of 2010 LPGA of Japan Tour who have no exemption status for season 2011 by November 24, 2010 (5) USLPGA members in positions 1st to 20th in 2009 USLPGA Official Money List by September 24, 2010 (6) LET Order-of-Merit in position 1st to 10th in 2009 by September 24, 2010 (7) Proceeded players from the Third Qualifying tournament by November 26, 2010 B. Any golfers approved by LPGA of Japan other than above categories by September 24, 2010

  1. Applications after the deadline will not be accepted whatever the reason may be.
  2. Application form and entry fees will not returned or refunded after the applications are submitted.
  3. Applications by telephone, fax or e-mail will not be accepted.
  4. Entries postmarked no later than above date will be accepted (local time).

  1. Entry fees shall be sent to the following account by bank remittance.
  2. No credit or personal check will be accepted.
  3. Entry fee for the qualifying tournament shall be paid by bank remittance to LPGA of Japan in Yen and the copy of the bank remittance receipt shall be attached to the Application Form. All bank charges should be paid by applicants. When entry fee is short because of that applicants fail, the applicants will be requested to pay the shortage in cash at each venue.

Ⅵ. REGISTRATION FOR

2011 Tournament Players' Division (TPD) One-year member

Any players proceed to Third QT and Final QT and who wish to register as 2011 LPGA of Japan Tournament Players' Division One-year member must attend the mandatory orientation three consecutive year or 3 times. But any player who TPD Committee approved is not this.

Registration for LPGA of Japan TPD One-year member is assumed one year.

    1. Orientation will be held in December.
    2. A place and time will be announced by First Qualifying Tournament. The representative's attendance is not admitted.

      1. ⅰ, Any player who obtains 2011 exempt status and wish to register as 2011 LPGA of Japan

      2. ⅱ, Any player who proceeded to Third and Final QT and wish to register as 2011 LPGA of Japan

    5. Attendance Fee will be announced by First Qualifying Tournament
    6. Interpreter
    7. The orientation will be held in Japanese. For foreign players who do not understand Japanese, LPGA of Japan will provide simultaneous translation for English, Korean and Chinese. It is not necessary for players to arrange their own interpreter. Player's companions are not allowed to attend the orientation.

  3. The registration document and registration fee must be submitted to LPGA of Japan by the deadline.

  4. Rule Exam
    1. Rule exam will be held right after the conclusion of Second QT. A place and time will be announced by LPGA of Japan by posting.
    2. *Any player who is exempted from Second QT must take the exam on the practice round of Third QT.

      *Any player who is exempted from Third QT must take the exam on the practice round of Final QT.

    3. Any player proceeded to Third QT or who is willing to sign waiting list (alternatives) for Third QT or any player wish to register as a 2011 LPGA of Japan TPD One-year member must take this rule exam. (otherwise the player may not make a registration for 2011 TPD One-year member)
    4. LPGA of Japan will distribute 60 questions in advance. The rule exam will be made by 30 questions from these 60 questions. The passing mark will be getting more than 21 correct answers. If players can not get reach to the passing mark, she is able to retake a rule exam for only one time. If she still can not get reach to the passing mark, she may not proceed to Third QT. The rule exam will be available only Japanese and English. The players may not accompany her interpreter to the rule exam.
  5. Annual Tour Registration Fee is ¥315,000 including consumption tax.
  6. Working Visa is required to play at the tournaments in Japan for those who does not resident in Japan.

Any players who wish to register as a 2011 LPGA of Japan TPD One-year member must receive a recommendation from one of the LPGA of Japan professional members or International professional member who have been a LPGA of Japan member for more than 5 years (any LPGA of Japan member who obtains license before 2005).

Ⅶ. INTERPRETER

Any players who are foreign nationality who can not speak Japanese must arrange the interpreter by themselves.

  • Must fill in interpreter's name on 2010 QT Application form.(Blank is not acceptable).
  • The interpreter may not at the same time be the other player's interpreter.
  • The player must arrange her interpreter from First Qualifying Tournament to Final Qualifying Tournament.
  • All the posting, rules of play and announcements are assumed to be only Japanese.

Ⅷ. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  1. The entry confirmation is the responsibility of each applicant.
  2. LPGA of Japan reserves the rights to invalidate the players' entry or tour registration in case that LPGA of Japan judges that the players (or players' conduct) are not suitable for the tournament.
  3. Registration

    The applicant herself must register at a designated location at each venue between 1 hour before the starting time of the 1st group and 5:00pm one day prior to the tournament day.

    *Applicant failing to register may lose her right to participate in the tournament.

  4. Caddie

    Using player's own caddie is allowed only in Final Qualifying tournament. Player should use her own caddie from the designated practice day through the end of the tournament. Using caddie in the tournament days only is not allowed. Any players who wish to use her own caddies; she must submit an application to LPGA of japan with the entry application. Failure to submit an application will forfeit to use her caddie.

    1. ⅰ, Caddie must wear flat-sole tennis shoes of non-metal spike shoes. Metal-spike shoes are

      prohibited.

    2. ⅱ, Caddie is prohibited to wear jeans or T-shirts.
    3. ⅲ, The player is required to take full responsibility for her caddie.
  5. Coach and Trainer

    By submitting an application in advance, the player is allowed to accompany her coach to the qualifying tournament. The coach is admitted to walk in golf course only on the practice day. The coach must sign his/her name at LPGA room when he/she arrives the qualifying tournament site. Failure to sign the name will forfeit to enter tournament site. The registration fee for coach is as follows. The player must pay the fee by cash at each venue.

    *Registration fee --- 5,250yen

    Also the player is allowed to accompany her physical/mental trainer to the tournament site. If the player wishes to accompany her trainer, she must submit an application form to the LPGA of Japan office in advance. When the player want to use training space, she must submit the application form until Friday 5PM proceeding to the tournament. The registration fee for the trainer is as follows. The player must pay the fee by cash at each venue.

    *Registration fee --- 5,250yen

    *Fee for using space --- 10,500yen / Contact LPGA of Japan office for more details.

  6. The LPGA of Japan reserves the rights to postpone or shorten any of the qualifying tournaments due to adverse weather conditions or other occurrence of condition beyond the control of the LPGA of Japan.
  7. Rights to usage of player's likeness

    All television, radio, photographic, motion pictures, documentary film, internet or similar media rights of players participating in the qualifying tournaments shall be granted and assigned to the LPGA of Japan. All such rights granted and assigned to the LPGA of Japan are thereafter the property of and reserved by the LPGA of Japan. Such rights may be used by the LPGA of Japan for advertising, promoting or publicizing such events through live or recorded broadcasts, printing or theatrical exhibitions or other communication media. Any use thereof without the consent of the LPGA of Japan is prohibited.

  8. Fee to the golf course

    Player shall bear the play fees for both practice and tournament days.

  9. Practice round except the designated days must be set up with golf course in advance by player.

    (Player should not hit more than one ball, keep a group behind waiting or make practice stroke on the green just finished.)

  10. Appearance of players

    Players shall not wear jeans, cargo pants or camouflage pattern wear (including rain wear) at the tournament site. In the case player wears a sweat shirt, the collar of polo under the sweat shirt must be seen. Players are allowed to wear T-shirt as long as it is produced by golf manufacture and accepted golf fashion. Mules and sandals are prohibited. The LPGA of Japan reserves the rights to order players to leave the tournament when the players' conduct is not becoming or their clothing is not suitable for the tournament.

  11. The LPGA of Japan reserves the right to alter any conditions and schedules herein. The decision of the LPGA in any matter shall be final.
  12. Driver Head

    LPGA of Japan will apply List of Conforming Driver Heads in all the events that conduct by LPGA of Japan. You may find the List of Conforming Driver Heads at Japan Golf Association website (http://www.jga.or.jp) or R&A website.

    *You are prohibited to use driver heads which are not listed on the List of Conforming Driver Heads in all the

    events that conduct by LPGA of Japan.

  13. When the fact comes to light when there is a lie in the content, the qualification and register as TPD non-member is lost.
  14. Penalty

    All applicants are necessary to follow the rule and manners that LPGA provided. The first time notes, and assumes the second to be a penalty or leaving when not following it.

    *First --- reprimand

    *Second --- 30,000yen

    *Third --- 50,000yen

  15. Any tattoo or sealing tattoo is prohibited. The LPGA of Japan reserves the rights to order players to leave the tournament when tattoo is found.
  16. New groove regulation

    LPGA of Japan applies new groove rules and punch condition from 2010 season. It is player's responsibility to confirm the club is conformed to new regulation. LPGA of Japan does not bear any responsibility for it.

Ⅸ. AMATEUR STATUS

In the Rules of Amateur Status 2010 as approved by the Japan Golf Association, any players will forfeit the amateur status when players register themselves as TPD One-year member. It is recommended to consult with National Golf Association (Phone: 03-3566-0003) regarding to the details about amateur status before making an application for tournament.
